Across Community Essentials Committee Q4 2024 Report

Committee Members: Mide, PVM, Infinity

The CEC has focused on growing and engaging the Across DAO community through initiatives such as onboarding, events, social media campaigns, and partnership integrations.

The CEC achieved all the planned goals in Q4 2024.

CEC Led Community Calls

We started the CEC Led Community Calls in November, when we started fresh and had 12 rangers in attendance. We grew bigger in December, and we had a record of 29 people joining the call. Nico from Acre/Mezo/Taho joined as a guest.

The January call is planned on the 9th, with Jimena Buena Vida, Nico and Tjark from PoolTogether invited to speak about their projects!

The CEC has collaborated with the team on several occasions for growth ideas on the Across X account and the Across Intern account has been recovered. We’re expanding our social media reach through the reply-guy strategy while implementing targeted marketing campaigns focused on community growth, also with the presence of videos and educational material about Across.

Q4 tasks and big events

Hack the wallet

The well-known Wallet Hack game has always been a hit in our community. On this occasion, 555 $ACX were at stake in a wallet and obviously you had to be the fastest to be able to decipher all the clues and access the wallet before the others. A game that the community enjoys very much and that attracts the attention of many in CT.

Halloween competition

A classic in our community and once again it was a huge success. Over 50 entries and a lot of engagement in Discord. See some of the best treats and decorations in this thread:

Publish0x competition

The Across writing competition was a resounding success, bringing together creative minds from the community to explore and celebrate the protocol’s innovations. Let’s agree it was a huge success!

A total of 36 articles were submitted, delving into topics such as the transformative potential of intents, the importance of interoperability in decentralized finance, and insightful reviews of the recent Uniswap partnership.

This wave of content not only highlighted the enthusiasm of the community but also underscored the impact Across is making in shaping the future of cross-chain interactions. Let’s read and enhance our knowledge!

The P0x writing competition had a $1500 prize pool, in USDC and ACX tokens, but we boosted the prizes because we are cool. The best articles will win a share of both, but there are extra chances for those that didn’t won a prize through lucky dip and the X contest.

We had $300 in ACX for those that went above and beyond, trying the bridge and sharing their experience in the Across Discord! You missed this opportunity but you are still interested? Write on any social media platform and drop your content in the #community-contributions channel! We are always looking for content creators that are willing to dive into web3!

Here are the victors! 1st place for four creators that won $80 in USDC & $25 in ACX Each ($320 USDC + $100 ACX Total). Congratulations to our winners! Great posts and well deserved.

2nd place for four creators that won $60 in USDC + $20 in ACX Each ($240 USDC + $80 ACX Total)! Thank you for publishing these top posts in the contest. Congrats to you as well!

3rd place to seven creators that won $40 in USDC + $5 ACX Each ($280 USDC + $35 in ACX Total)! Check out these additional seven posts that are worth reading, and whose authors deserved the rewards!

Plus the 4th place awarded to nine creators that won $10 in USDC ($90 USDC Total)! Thank you for taking part in the contest! These are nine good posts, that just missed the mark by a bit!

Christmas contest

We spread light Across the world this winter#AcrossChristmas is heart warming. May 2025 bring wealth, health and happiness! We had baking, decorations and “Where is Wally?” across the festive season.

Intent to bridge, to bond, to dream,

With Olaf’s cheer, a hopeful gleam.

In blockchains we find our way,

A future bright, led by the sway.
